Loved this hotel/apartments. Ideal for
families and for relaxing. Lovely bar
with ramp which is ideal for wheelchairs
and push chairs or for rolling down
after a few too many. Phone box and car
parking facilities. Would defo
recommended to friend and family. Around
10 min walk to main strip not roudy,
some lovely restaurants. Greeks love
kids and really welcome families. Lovely
grass area round the pool which is ideal
also.

First impressions were good, great food.
No disturbance, relaxing + nice people!
Thinking of coming again! :) We also
loved dolly the donkey! I think that
this holiday was super! It was relaxing.
and good fun. The music wasn't too loud
but it was just loud enough so we could
hear it relaxingly :) I gave it a 9/10
because it was a fabulous holiday but
that one waiter gave away the 10/10.

Sept 2008
Just returned from a week at the Pagona Hotel, Apts in Paphos and what a great place to stay.
I travelled with my Husband and 6 year old son, we stayed in a studio on the 3rd floor (top) in the main block.
The accommodation is excellent, very clean, spacious and the owners Stavros, Georgia and two sons are so friendly and look after all there guests very well. The pool is quite large with a childrens pool and jacuzzi pool too, plenty of sunbeds and very clean sunbathing area with showers. Pool bar opens at 8am and closes around midnight serving lovely food and drinks at very reasonable prices.
Air Conditioning was payable locally at £3.00 cy per day but it was hot so we needed it. Safety Deposit boxes were in the reception at £5.00 cy for the week. Late check outs no problem.
Rooms were cleaned daily and bedding changed few times during the week.
Out the back of the apartments lives Dolly the Donkey who is owned by Stavros, she is great. She loves the attention from the guests and if you call her name she eeyores back to you, my son loved her.
In the surrounding area is a Bakery and supermarket, bars restaurants and the harbour is only a 10 minute walk too.
Think everyone at the apartments but us had been before and not just once some were 10-15 year repeat guests.
All in all if you want clean, quiet place but close to the action then Pagona has it all and I would definitely recommend to anyone.
Oct 2007
I can't
think of a
single
reason why
not to
recommend
the Pagona.
After
reading
reviews on
TripAdvisor
(especially
after the
Pagona was
improved) I
booked by
phone a few
months ago
and the very
helpful
receptionist
Froso
confirmed by
email. Just
before I
flew out I
confirmed
the new
Excel flight
arrival
time, Froso
arranged for
a taxi and
key to the
room as we
would now be
arriving
late. Sure
enough, taxi
driver
picked us up
from the
airport.
Apartments
themselves
are very
clean and
spacious.
The complex
is very
quiet as the
pool, bar
and our
apartment
was located
50m from the
road.
Very
friendly and
helpful
staff in the
pool bar,
especially
Mai and the
two brothers
who own the
bar. Food
wasn't that
brilliant
(had an
undercooked
and cold
sausage,
ugh) but the
pints of Keo
were
excellent.
Pool bar had
two LCD
screens,
pool table,
very clean
toilets etc.
For
breakfast we
used the
Rugby Arms
next door.
Also had an
excellent
meal at the
Genesis
(next door
to Rugby
place)
Start of the
week at
Pagona was
2/3 British
holiday
makers, 1/3
Danish. By
the end of
the week it
was the
other way
round in
favour to
the Danes.
Pagona is
ideally
situated,
only a 10
mins walk to
the main
centre of
Paphos but
quiet enough
to feel
there was
nothing
around.
May 2007
we arrived
back from
paphos 2
days ago
having
stayed in
the pagona
appartments.
these
appartments
were by far
the cleanest
and roomiest
we have
stayed in.
Having been
to many
greek
islands and
spainish
resorts and
having
mainly opted
for self
catering we
would pick
these
appartments
as the best.
the location
is off a
main road
but the
traffic is
not a
problem at
night as if
you opt for
air con and
have the
doors closed
you cannot
hear
anything.
the pool and
bar area
have been
recently
upgraded and
are very
nice. eating
at the snack
bar is
reasonable
but not too
much choice,
but for
lunchtime
snacks it is
good. we
went and
bought food
from the big
supermarket
near the
harbour its
very good in
there and is
probably the
cypriot
version of
tescos so
you can get
everything
you need.
Sept 2006
The Pagona
Apts were
very good,
friendly
staff, rooms
cleaned
daily, very
modern, and
even the
well
presented
pool bar was
reasonable
to buy
drinks and
food from
while sun
bathing.
There is a
private road
which leads
to the apts
and a
barrier at
the end of
the road, so
therefore no
noise at
night from
traffic!!!
the location
was perfect
for us.
It was about
10 minutes
walk away
from loads
of good
restaurants
and bars so
no noise
from the
night life.
there are
super
markets very
nearby and
internet
cafe.
August 2006
We booked
the Pagona
for a last
minute week
in the sun.
We wanted
clean
accommodation,
a lovely
pool and
virtually
guaranteed
sunshine. We
chose Paphos
and the
Pagona
because of
the positive
comments on
this website
and were
very pleased
with this
choice. The
apartments
are lovely.
We stayed in
a ground
floor studio
for three in
the new
block, which
was about 10
metres to
the pool -
about as far
away as you
could get.
The studio
was very
spacious and
also quiet
because of
it being set
back off the
main road,
with a
security
barrier.
It's hard to
imagine
anywhere
more quiet
and yet so
central to
Paphos and
all the
action. A
really good
location.
August 2006
My partner
and I have
been back
home for a
day, and we
are already
missing
Cyprus! We
had a
fantastic
time at the
Pagona Hotel
Apartments
in Pahphos.
It was just
a shame we
weren't
there for
two weeks.
You could
not fault
the place.
The
apartments,
the pool
area and the
jacuzzi were
spot on, and
the staff at
the Pagona
were
fantastic!
Nothing was
any trouble
to them, and
they were
all lovely
and friendly
people. The
Pagona is

Just e-mailing you to say thank you. My
husband and I stayed in one of your
studio apartments from 23rd Sept to 31st
Sept. We came over for a wedding and you
were recommended by Clive & Lynn. We
would just like to say that we were very
well looked after by you and your staff,
and we have told all our friends how
friendly everyone was. If we come back
to Cyprus we will definitely contact you
with a view to booking with you again.
Thank you once again.

Fantastic Holiday, want to go back!
Right, the people are very friendly. Bar
and pool are outstanding. Location 10
mins max from LOTS of bars and
restaurants. We stayed in a studio
apartment which was very clean (cleaner
came daily). Basic kitchen/cooking
stuff, fridge, hob etc although as we
ate at the bar in the day and ate out at
night we only made use of the fridge.
Weather was HOT! Loads of sun beds. The
resort was very quiet compared to other
similar places I've been which was good,
pool was never crowded.
Perfect to relax and sunbathe! 10 mins
from sea. Would definitely recommend,
and would definitely return.

You can get a full breakfast for the bar
area for 2.00cyp each and evening meals
from around 2.80cyp so there is no need to
cook. The family and staff are very
friendly and helpful. This helps to make
everyone staying very comfortable and
happy. The pool and bar area has had a
lot of work done to it and was much
better than we expected.
The beach and harbour along with evening
entertainment is only a 10 minute walk
away, There are plenty of excursions on
offer but it pays to shop around as
prices vary.
I would recommend the Pagona to one and
all as it as been one of the best
holidays we have had, with sunshine
guaranteed and very reasonably priced
coupled with the service it is hard to
beat. I would suggest having the aircon as it makes sleeping a
dream.

Well what a fantastic apartment and a
great holiday! With 3 sharing a room we
thought the apartment would be cramped
but not at all, in fact we were quite
surprised at the amount of space that we
had. Although basic the apartment had
cooking facilities and a fridge however
we didn’t use them.
The apartment overlooked the pool/Bar
area. You are able to catch the sun from
around 8am-8pm and the bar stays open on
an evening until about midnight. It
plays music and has a pool table also a
good size TV screen for those world cup
footie fans like us. Food at the bar is
also good and reasonably priced.
The apartments themselves were nice and
quiet, for the more lively the local
nightlife and restaurants are just a
five minute walk away along with the
harbour. You can have good days and
nights here with a good selection of
places to eat and party, there's also a
nice friendly atmosphere.
Money very well spent, I will be back
Pagona.

My boyfriend and I have just returned
from a fantastic two weeks in Paphos
staying at Pagona. The apartment was
very spacious with separate bedroom and
bathroom and a fab balcony overlooking
the newly refurbished pool and bar area
(great for catching the last rays of
sunshine after returning from the
beach!)
Although we spent most of our time on
the beach (a 15 min stroll away) when we
did stay by the pool the staff were very
friendly and always making sure our
drinks were topped up! Prices in the
pool bar were on par with the bars and
clubs in the resort (2.90cyp for a glass
of wine and pint of Keo).
The apartment was clean, however our
only minor comment would be that the bed
linen was only changed once in the 2
weeks we stayed. Air conditioning is
available at a cost per day but we
found that by opening the doors at both
ends of the apartment for a few minutes
in the afternoon cooled the room down
sufficiently!
We will go back to Paphos and Pagona
without a doubt.

Just got home from the Pagona
Apartments, and was very impressed with
them. The pool and bar area has been
finished now and it looks really good.
The staff at the apartments are so
friendly. The Apartments were very
clean. We stayed in a Studio room, the
rooms were bigger than average, and even
with 3 adults sharing this room there
was still plenty of space. Had a
wonderful time and will return to the
Pagona for sure.
The apartments are about a 3 min walk to
all the bars and clubs and restaurants
so it was excellent for that. Night life
was better than what I had thought.
Plenty of restaurants to eat in but also
lots of bars if you wanted a drink later
on. Its no club 18-30 type of resort,
but has something to offer for everyone.
Great for families and couples and
single people who are looking for
something a little more chilled out.
Stay at the Pagona you wont be
disappointed.

As a resident of Cyprus, it may seem
unusual to those reading this review
that I should want to book a holiday at
the Pagona when I already live on this
wonderful island.
Well, I can't think of a better place to
spend a week totally relaxing amongst
friends. I've known Stavros, Georgia,
Andreas & Neofitos -not forgetting Froso
and Paul (and Melanie from Sri Lanka),
for a number of years now and they are
the finest of people.
I have booked the Pagona for many
friends over the years and in October
2004, when my eldest son was married in
Cyprus, family and friends virtually
took over the whole of the Pagona
Apartments and what a fantastic time
they had. I would whole-heartedly agree
with other reviews that the apartments
are well cared for and within walking
distance of some very good restaurants
(too many to recommend).

It was a really nice holiday and the
apartments were excellent. We stayed in
a studio and were very impressed by the
facilities. The studio had
fridge/freezer, cooker, pots, pans and
everything else you would need for a
self catering holiday. All items were
very clean when we arrived.
Apartment was spacious although it might
not be so if there were three people
trying to live in it! With just me and
the girlfriend it was fine.
The rooms were cleaned every day and
they actually made and attempt to clean
it. The floors were all swept and washed
and even the windows were cleaned. An
excellent room service from the cleaning
staff who are always friendly and
polite!
The location is very good and you can
get to the main area for bars and
restaurants within about 5-10 minutes.
However, the apartments are sandwiched
by two main roads and there was a lot of
noise at night. In saying that, we did
keep the window open all night and if it
was shut, this would be reduced.
The staff are all very polite and there
were a lot of family's that had been
there time and time again.
Would I recommend this hotel to my
best friend? absolutely!
I recommend this hotel for Young
singles, An amazing honeymoon, A
romantic getaway, Girlfriend getaway,
People with disabilities, Older
travelers, Families with teenagers,

I just returned from a week where I stayed on Pagona - a quiet and clean place near the beach and the town - definitely a place I can recommend.
Sep 2011, Holgerni from Denmark
“Excellent accommodation.. would recommend”
Just returned from 11 days in Paphos. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment at the Pagona Apartments. The apartment was very clean (towels/bedding provided and floors mopped daily by cleaner) and spacious, air con was an optional extra for the bedrooms which I would strongly recommend, great location (10 min walk to all the taverna's/ bars/ shops/ harbour but not too near that it was noisy) Very secure complex. The pool and pool bar was excellent, pool side waitress service available. Reception staff helpful and friendly.

“Clean, Cheap and very nice swimming pool”
I found Pagona Hotel Apts via the internet. We only decided to go on holiday the week before and as it was mid august it would be a difficult challenge. But after some searching on the internet and a little comparing between hotels I decided on this one. It's located just 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre so it was very convenient as I would not need to stress for parking in the city. The rooms were clean and air conditioned (vital if your on holiday in Cyprus over the summer). It was also quite cheap taking into consideration the location and other similar hotels in the area. We spent the days at the pool area, where there is also a cafe/snack bar (with cheap beer), a very neat swimming pool.
The room had a kitchenette, so we could cook and have breakfast and lunch without adding much to our costs.
I recommend Pagona hotel apts to couples, families and friends!
yianphil from Larnaca, Cyprus - Sept 2011
“Basic Hotel with great pool”
Rooms were spacious and clean with air con. However no TV!! Was great to have a clothes line on our own balcony. Pool was lovely, and we ate breakfast once at the pool bar which was ok. Only thing is you really need a car to get right into town but other than that, quite a nice hotel, would stay here again!
JamieM665 from Sydney, Australia - Sept 2011
“Fantastic family run hotel.”
Very surprised by this 3* family run hotel, the hotel is very well kept, clean and very friendly. The bar area is very nice and the staff are wonderful. The room are sufficient, and only walking distance to the shops bars and restaurants... all in all a very nice stay. I recommend this hotel 100%
keysgirl04 from Essex - Aug 2011
“wow! fab hotel”
i actually stayed here 8yrs ago and it has changed sooooo much. but even back then my friend and i had the best time, the room was fab, although it didnt have air con back then. but it was a great size and the owners were great. it was a bit of a trek from the air port. but im defo considering taking my partner here to experience the great time i had.
chuckylou52 from Chester - December 2010
“Proper family-run apartment-hotel”
We stayed here for a week at the end of season. The hotel is a wonderful place that has grown organically over around thirty years - that said the designers of additions have been careful to ensure the buildings all match.
Staff - excellent in all respects. There were no language issues, but always friendly & helpful and most importantly; they knew when to leave you alone.
Room - OK, not mind-blowing, but big, freshly decorated, enough furniture and cooking equipment too. New mattresses will be needed soon............
Housekeeping - not as thorough as we like, but we are really too fussy! The room was swept, mopped and the bathroom cleaned every day.
Pool & grounds - very tidy, well maintained and the pool in great condition
Bar - great, simple, fresh foods prepared to order. Perfect. Good selection of local and branded drinks.
Location - ten minutes walk from harbour area - plenty close enough but also far enough away from the bars, clubs etc.
If you want a good value, clean apartment to use as a base, run by a thoughtful, attentive Cypriot family, go here. Will WILL go back!
Annie from UK - October 2010
